Have you ever said the words, "I hated my teacher" or "I used to play that but I quit"? Well those words break my heart so to prevent my students from sayin or feeling those words, I have built my lessons around gaining experience! I've been teaching Piano for TEN years, and violin/viola/cello for EIGHT years and dare I say I am a wonderful teacher, but I provide comfort, enjoyment, and allow the student to lead the lesson. Whether their talent grows famous or stays as a hobby won't matter to me. I want them to love the time they had with me, but most of all LOVE the experience they have learning. I LOVE each and every one of my lovely students. Sharing music with each other has truly felt like anything but a job to me.

My primary intent is to help each student experience the joy that comes from the expression of making music. This only becomes possible when the proper fundamentals (technique, rhythm, note reading, ear training, etc.) are carefully nurtured and developed.

While technique, exactitude, and progress are important, it is more important to me that each lesson is a safe, loving, and encouraging learning environment :)
