Have you ever met someone who said, “I used to play that” or “ I wish I still played that”? Sometimes we tend to hear, “I hated my music teacher.” The frequent occurrence of this statement can be attributed to the shortcomings of music educators. Macee Drue Allred is a dedicated music educator, performer, and producer who demonstrates exceptional proficiency in both individual and group settings for a variety of musical instruments including piano, violin, viola, and cello. Additionally, she possesses a deep understanding of music theory, music history, and music production.

With thirteen years of experience as a string player, sixteen years as a pianist, and ten years as a music educator, her designed objective is to further cultivate innovative and captivating performance and pedagogical approaches that are tailored to the unique requirements of each student. Her primary intent is to help each student experience the joy that comes from the expression of making music. This only becomes possible when the proper fundamentals (technique, rhythm, note reading, ear training, etc.) are carefully nurtured and developed. While technique, exactitude, and progress are important, it is more important to her that each lesson is a safe, loving, and encouraging learning environment.

At the onset of fourth grade, she uncovered her personal ardor for music. Gradually, she acquired proficiency in various instruments and developed a keen interest in theory, analysis, history, notation, and performance. Her participation in SUPAF, SUSF, and DGT competitions resulted in several awards. She has worked with various astounding artists such as Dr. Yang, David Pinto, William Joseph, and Jeff May. With time, her exceptional aptitude for songwriting and composition led her to explore music production, and she pursued advanced studies at Berklee College of Music.

Presently, Miss Macee is an ardent co-writer, and producer who engages in collaborative endeavors with fellow musicians and recording engineers on various music projects, as well as a music educator who focuses on the enjoyment of learning music. She possesses a profound ardor for establishing connections and fostering relationships, coupled with an unwavering thirst for knowledge and comprehension throughout her tenure at Berklee College of Music and beyond.
