Practice

It takes many hours of prepping to tailor to their needs. If I feel they’re not practicing I will give them a two week probation area to improve their practicing. If I find insufficient practicing during that time frame then I will have to let them go as a student.

Parent involvement in making sure practice needs are met is a HUGE help for both the student and myself. Some parents will send their kids to teachers expecting that they’re able to play after a couple of weeks, but it actually takes consistent involvement from both the parents and the students. Practice=Progress

During each lesson I will prepare a practice chart for your week of practice to come. In order to advance as efficiently and quickly as possible, it is best to do the exercises in the chosen order. Use practice time wisely. More advancement can be made in 15 minutes of focused practice than in two hours of careless practice!
